3D models from drone — digital terrain maps and building surveys
We create digital terrain models, realistic 3D mesh models and building inventories from photogrammetric drone data. Accuracy down to 2 cm -- ready for import into CAD and BIM software.
We create digital 3D models of buildings, industrial structures and terrain from aerial photographs acquired by drone. From hundreds of overlapping images we generate a dense point cloud and then a 3D mesh model with photographic texture -- faithfully reproducing the appearance and geometry of the object.
This service is aimed at construction firms, design offices, surveyors, local authorities and property managers. Drone 3D models are used for building inventory before refurbishment, creating terrain maps for development sites, heritage documentation and construction progress visualisation -- without the need for repeated laser scanning.
Drone inventory is 3-5 times faster than terrestrial laser scanning and covers a larger area in a single session. A 3D model of a building with a 500 m2 footprint is delivered within 5 working days of the flight in OBJ, PLY or FBX format -- ready for import into Autodesk, ArchiCAD or SketchUp.
Centimetre-level geometric accuracy
3D models reproduce the shape and dimensions of an object with 1-3 cm accuracy -- sufficient for designing refurbishments, extensions and clash detection.
Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and Surface Model (DSM)
We generate elevation models in GeoTIFF and ASC formats -- ready for hydrological analysis, road design and investment planning.
Faster and cheaper than laser scanning
Drone inventory of a 500 m2 building takes 1 working day instead of the 3-4 days required for terrestrial laser scanning -- with comparable accuracy.
Export to CAD, BIM and GIS
We deliver models in OBJ, PLY, FBX, DXF and GeoTIFF formats -- compatible with Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, Civil 3D, QGIS and ArcGIS.
- 1
3D building inventory before refurbishment
A 3D model of a townhouse, office building or industrial hall -- the basis for designing a refurbishment without multiple measurement visits to the site.
- 2
Digital terrain model for a development site
DTM and DSM of a plot or terrain up to several dozen hectares -- for road design, flood risk analysis and spatial planning.
- 3
3D construction progress visualisation
Comparing 3D models from successive months against the design model (BIM) -- for detecting delays and deviations from the project.
- 4
3D documentation of heritage and cultural sites
Precise 3D models of churches, townhouses and heritage structures -- for conservators, architects and reconstruction designers.
How the project works
- 1
Contact and project specification
We define the scope: object type, required accuracy, output file formats and delivery deadline.
- 2
Drone flight and image acquisition
We fly an automated mission around the object or over the terrain, capturing several hundred images with min. 75% overlap. Building -- approx. 20 min, 10 ha terrain -- approx. 30 min.
- 3
Data processing and model generation
Images are processed in photogrammetric software. We generate the point cloud, textured mesh model and digital terrain models.
- 4
Quality control and delivery
We verify model accuracy, export data in the agreed formats and deliver to the client via download link. Typical turnaround: 5-7 working days.
What the client receives
- 3D mesh model with photographic texture in OBJ, PLY or FBX format
- Dense point cloud in LAS/LAZ format
- Digital Terrain Model (DTM) in GeoTIFF or ASC format
- Digital Surface Model (DSM)
- Accuracy and processing parameters report
Area of operation
We carry out 3D drone modelling from our base in Szczecin across West Pomerania. We also serve Gdańsk, Poznań, Warsaw, Wrocław and other Polish regions — nationwide commissions accepted by prior arrangement. Travel up to 50 km from Szczecin included.
